Who is Joe Zentis? During his wildly meandering career, Joe Zentis has served time as a paperboy, house painter, infantry officer, professional graduate student, college teacher, upholsterer, radio station manager, corporate newsletter editor, encyclopedia salesman, corporate communications specialist, quilt designer, newspaper correspondent, pinsetter, free-lance writer, book designer, video script writer and producer, publisher, embroidery designer, estate planner, motor coach operator, editor, janitor, entrepreneur, and lazy unemployed bum (though not in that order). He fervently denies that this indicates a lack of focus. He claims instead that he has simply been accumulating a wide variety of life experiences as preparation for a glorious career as a writer and graphics designer. The only drawback, he says, is that writing his resume is a really ugly job. He lives in Hermitage, PA, with his wife and his lover. You may ask how he manages to do that. “It’s easy,” he says. “My wife Edi is my lover, and has been for 41 great years.” They have three lovely daughters (Michelle, Katherine, and Jennifer) one granddaughter (Katherine’s daughter Sydney Givens), and two grandsons (Jennifer’s sons David and Connor Young).
